What to Expect

When we meet, I care to show up as a warm and inviting person. I will ask some helpful questions to get an understanding of how I can help.

In the first few sessions, we will identify your version of the finish line and bring awareness to how you respond to yourself and your emotions, aka your "self-talk."

As therapy continues, I highlight specific body language, patterns, or avoidance of certain emotions that may feel too vulnerable. These are elements I believe are part of understanding how you feel stuck but also stay stuck.

Another important aspect towards healing is helping you notice when you need to use skills. These skills can help you manage intense emotions, lessen how often you may take things personally, and normalize moments of discomfort.

Modalities Used

I utilize interventions and see people, problems, and change from the following theories:

  • CBT
  • Psychodynamic
  • Gestalt
  • DBT (for skills work)
